The new parking kiosks are being introduced to reduce maintenance and increase reliability.  The older meters have begun to reach the end of their lifecycle. PACE officers routinely spent hours each day replacing up to 30 meter heads daily. These new kiosks are much more user friendly. 

The process is quick and simple. Just park your vehicle, note your license plate number and the zone number on the nearest sign, and head to a kiosk. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your information and pay for your desired time. You can also bypass the kiosk entirely and pay through the Passport Parking App right from your phone or by text-to-pay.

100% of the revenue generated from downtown parking is reinvested directly back into the City of Oxford's parking infrastructure. By maximizing the efficiency of our parking spaces, we generate crucial funding for parking maintenance, bond payments, and the development of future infrastructure and parking solutions. 

If a kiosk is temporarily out of service, you can always use the Passport App or text-to-pay from your phone. You can also walk to any other kiosk within your zone to complete your transaction, as they are all connected to the same network. 

We understand that any new system takes a little getting used to, which is why the kiosks were selected specifically for their large, user-friendly screens and clear prompts. The new kiosks are reliable and offer multiple ways to pay, accepting coins and major credit cards, ensuring that anyone can easily use the system regardless of their comfort level with technology.
